As an open admission shelter, we sometimes get animals with serious medical conditions. With the generous help of our supporters we are usually able to cover all the extra expenses. We were recently contacted by another animal control facility that was in need of help while having to seize 20 Poodles from a puppy mill. While all of the dogs were in horrendous condition, one of the three we were able to help is currently on a medical hold at a local Veterinarian's office. After consultation with multiple Vet's we were given two options: sterilize and abort the puppies or put Becky through another (but last one!) C-section. Becky is a miniature poodle who is pregnant with two puppies that she can not deliver on her own due to her size. We are trying to ensure her safety while saving the puppies as well. With all of the animals in our care the cost for this procedure is not completely in our budget. If you are able please consider donating to Becky's medical fund. We believe we are making the right decision by choosing to save her and her two babies. If you are not in a position to donate, please share Becky's story on your social media!
